The log cabin home decor photos featured here showcase the bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and dining room of a monumental mountain retreat. Located in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and built by Summit Handcrafted Log Homes, the rooms inside this striking residence are as beautiful as its majestic setting!
Taking things in reverse order -- at least in part -- let's begin with the "Beyond" part of the subtitle above. More specifically, let's start with one of the most frequented rooms in most homes -- the kitchen -- pictured at left and below.
A beamed ceiling crafted from hand-peeled logs is stained to match the finely finished wood cabinetry with paneled doors. In contrast to that is a large center island with a dark enameled finish and a set of stools to match. Resting on a flagstone floor, the island is finished with a granite counter top.
Another view of the kitchen, pictured below, shows the lovely ceramic tile backsplash, as well as a majestic mountain view from the window above the kitchen sink. Suspended from the ceiling over the center island are three simple but elegant pendant lighting fixtures.
Adjacent to the kitchen is an open sitting area with comfortably upholstered sofas, chairs and an ottoman resting on a colorful oriental rug.
The spacious dining room is oriented toward the magnificent mountain view through a large picture window centered
on the wall and flanked by double hung windows. Twin chandeliers crafted from antlers hang above the large
dining room table.
On the left is a rustic but beautifully crafted display cabinet with birch bark door and
drawer fronts. A large oriental rug softens the wide expanse of stone flooring.
And now . . . moving from "Beyond" to "Bedrooms" -- the room type first referenced in the subtitle at the top of the page -- you'll note that the log cabin home decor in each bedroom is distinctive, with its own "personality." A "peek" into the bedroom at right gives some indication of this.
In the photo below, the rustic log bed is a perfect complement to the architecture of the room. The painted blue wall picks up on the color of the beautiful blue sky in the distance, and is repeated in the bedding fabrics and the oriental rug on the stone floor.
The focal point in the bedroom that follows is a magnificent mountain lion mounted on the wall about the
headboard of the bed. Posed as if ready to pounce on its prey, it makes a dramatic design statement!
The bed, itself, is crafted from naturally gnarled wood. Beneath the
antler chandelier hanging from the ceiling is a beautiful Native
American rug.
The log cabin home decor in the bedroom pictured at right has a different look and feel than that in the two shown above. Though furnished with a traditional sleigh bed, side table and chest at the foot of the bed, the rug on the floor and fabric on the bed has a much more contemporary flair.
The bedroom that follows is more subdued than those pictured thus far. Traditionally furnished, the bed
rests on a rug with soft, muted tones.
Another one of the home's more dramatic bedrooms is pictured below. The deep bold color of the wall behind
the bed sets the tone for the fabrics in the room.
The bed, itself, is crafted from natural, hand-peeled logs.
Birch bark covers the drawer fronts and sides of the night stand next to it, as well as the dresser across the
room.
Resting on a branch above the flat screen TV is a contented appearing mounted leopard that looks as if he
has just finished eating a "gourmet" meal. Native American motifs infuse the large area rug, as well as the
throw and pillows on the bed.
As with many of the rustic furnishings in the home, the bathroom vanity pictured at right features birch bark door and drawer fronts. Resting atop the vanity is a copper sink and faucet assembly.
Crowning the entire
ensemble is a beautiful oval mirror crafted from antlers!
In contrast to the rustic looking bathroom pictured above, right, the homeowners opted for a more luxurious
master bath, as shown below. Complete with "his" and "her" slate stone tiled showers, it also features a large Jacuzzi with a magnificent view!
Beautiful red granite counters rest on
top of finely crafted "his" and "her" vanities made of wood. Covering
the slate floor in front of each vanity are ruby red and white area rugs
with Native American motifs.
